Gentoo Linux 12.1 Has Linux Kernel 3.3 and ZFS Support

The Gentoo developers, through Robin H. Johnson, proudly announced yesterday (April 1st) the immediate availability for download of the Gentoo Linux 12.1 operating system. 

Gentoo Linux 12.1 is a quite a major upgrade to the popular distro, bringing bleeding-edge features like Linux kernel 3.3, XOrg Server 1.12.0, KDE Software Compilation 4.8.1, GNOME 3.2.1, LibreOffice 3.5, VLC 2.0.1, Mozilla Firefox 11, and much more.

Some special features were also included in Gentoo Linux 12.1, such as support for the ZFS filesystem, writable filesystems via AUFS to easily merge new packages, and persistence mode for $HOME (more information is displayed if you press F9).

Gentoo Linux 12.1 LiveDVD comes in two flavors, a hybrid ISO image with support for both 32-bit and 64-bit environments and an exclusively 64-bit multi lib version.
